Human resource development as one of the main pillars towards Indonesia Emas 2045. This was expressed by the Expert Staff of the Minister of Finance for Financial Services and Capital Markets, Arief Wibosono in the Indonesia Leadership Forum (ILF) 2025 held by the University of Indonesia (UI).

"The importance of superior human resource quality also gets its own focus in the vision of Indonesia Emas and Asta Cita," he said in a written statement, Sunday (26/1/2025).

According to Arief, Indonesian human resources need to be encouraged to be more innovative, expand the horizon of knowledge through global networks, and encourage economic and social transformation.

"We are convinced together that effective leadership is important in the nation's collective efforts towards Indonesia Emas 2045. Here leadership is at all levels. Regardless of the highest level or the lowest level. Both in the public sector, private sector, and third sector," he added.

Meanwhile, Universitas Indonesia Rector Heri Hermansyah highlighted the importance of adaptive and innovative leadership to face rapid global changes, including advances in artificial intelligence, the Industrial Revolution 4.0, and social changes such as the entry of Generation Z into the workforce.

"We are at the crossroads of unprecedented technological and economic transformation. This forum is not just a dialogue, but also a call to action. This is an opportunity for us to exchange ideas, collaborate, and identify strategies to strengthen leadership in all sectors," he said.

Until now, continued Heri, UI is still implementing the vision to move towards global leadership and competitiveness. UI's strategic initiatives for the next five years are, encouraging entrepreneurship, supporting campus-led entrepreneurial efforts.

Scholarships

Heri also expressed his gratitude to the ILF event partners, because part of the sponsorship funds for this forum will be allocated to support scholarships for underprivileged UI students and innovative research conducted by UI lecturers.

In this forum, participants are invited to participate in meaningful discussions and explore partnerships that can help overcome today's leadership challenges. UI also invites various industries to collaborate in executive training programs, research projects, and leadership initiatives to prepare the next generation of transformative leaders.
