5 Steps to Accelerate Digital Transformation

Based on President Joko Widodo's directives at the Digital Transformation Planning Limited Meeting, Merdeka Palace on August 3 2020, it was stated that digital transformation during a pandemic and in the next pandemic will structurally change the way work, activities, consumption, learning, transactions that were previously offline with physical contact become more a lot to online.
Indonesia can take advantage of the COVID-19 pandemic as a momentum to make various breakthroughs and accelerate digital transformation in various sectors.
First, expanding access and improving digital infrastructure. Second, prepare a digital transportation roadmap in strategic sectors, whether in government, public services, social assistance, the education sector, the health sector, trade, the industrial sector, the broadcasting sector.
Third, speed up the integration of the National Data Center as already discussed. Fourth, prepare the need for digital talent human resources. Fifth, the President asked that regulations related to digital transformation funding and financing schemes be prepared as quickly as possible.
The President also said that the IMD World Digital Competitiveness survey in 2019, Indonesia was still ranked 56 out of 63 countries.
