AAJI Builds Building for HR Development and Insurance Literacy

  • 12 Feb 2025

Jakarta – The Indonesian Life Insurance Association (AAJI) officially held a topping off for the Grha AAJI Building, marking the completion of the main construction phase of the building.

AAJI Board of Directors Chairman Budi Tampubolon said the event was a symbol of important achievements in AAJI's efforts to support the development of human resources (HR) and insurance literacy in Indonesia.

He said the Grha AAJI building was born from a shared spirit to create a forum that supports the development of HR and financial literacy.

"The initial idea for building Grha AAJI was inspired by the direction of the first OJK Chairman, Mr. Muliaman D. Hadad, who encouraged the insurance industry to build a center of excellence. We hope that Grha AAJI can become an education center for all life insurance, general insurance, sharia insurance, and brokers, so that its contribution can be felt widely," he explained, quoted on Tuesday, February 4, 2025.

He added that improving the quality of HR is one of AAJI's main focuses.

"Through Grha AAJI, we will continue to hold training, seminars, focus group discussions (FGD), and various other forums to strengthen the competence of insurance industry players," said Budi.

AAJI Supervisory Board, Firdaus Djaelani explained that for the past 23 years, AAJI has played a role as a means of communication, channeling aspirations, and increasing professionalism for life insurance and reinsurance players in Indonesia.

"Grha AAJI will be a center for education, training, certification, and life insurance literacy, not only for employees and insurance agents, but also for the wider community. Supported by the establishment of the Indonesian Insurance and Services Expert Professional Certification Institute (LSP AAJI), AAJI is committed to continuing to advance and provide greater positive contributions to the insurance industry," he said.

Head of the Grha AAJI Development Team, Wiroyo Karsono, explained the journey of this project from the groundbreaking stage several months ago to the topping off achievement today.

"The 1,841 square meter land consisting of three land certificates has now officially become AAJI's property. With close cooperation between the Development Team, Construction Management, Quantity Surveyor, and contractors, we have successfully reached the final stage of construction on schedule. We also routinely conduct site visits to ensure that every process runs according to plan," said Wiroyo.

He emphasized that this development is not just infrastructure, but a symbol of hope for the future of the life insurance industry.

"We are optimistic that the presence of Grha AAJI which will be operational at the end of 2025 will have a positive impact, both for industry players and the wider community," he said.

The topping off of Grha AAJI emphasized AAJI's commitment to continue to make a positive contribution to the life insurance industry in Indonesia.

With modern and environmentally friendly facilities, this building is expected to become a center for educational activities, training, certification, and innovation to improve literacy and the quality of human resources in the insurance sector.

It is known that Grha AAJI itself is located at Jl. Fatmawati Raya No. 14. The building is designed as a center of excellence that will serve as a hub for innovation, education and collaboration for the life insurance industry.
